Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) is a nonpartisan 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the mental health of mothers and childbearing people in the United States with a focus on national policy and health equity.

We envision a nation that provides universal and equitable education, prevention, screening, and treatment for mental health conditions during pregnancy and year following pregnancy.
Our Mission
We advocate for national policies that provide universal, equitable, comprehensive, and compassionate mental health care during pregnancy and the year following pregnancy.

We are committed to centering the identity, experiences, and self-identified needs of communities of color by including these communities in decision-making processes. We encourage thoughtful and thorough decision-making that does not allow for the disregard of systemic racism and bias.
