We are launching the first-ever National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health!
As federal budget cuts continue to make headlines, we have organized this Day of Action to make one message clear: maternal mental health funding MUST be maintained.
This special, one-day campaign will enable anyone in the U.S. to contact their elected officials about the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline and the State Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Program — two programs that have helped thousands of mothers get the support they need.
We hope you’ll join us for this important Day of Action.

The State Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Program (also called “Access Programs”) empowers frontline healthcare providers — such as obstetricians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and midwives — to address maternal mental health conditions in their patients.
This prevents moms in crisis from falling through the cracks of the healthcare system.
It’s critical that this program continues to receive federal funding, which is why we are launching a National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health on April 2!
You will be able to contact your elected officials and ask for their support of maternal mental health programs.

The Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Program is a state-based consultation network where healthcare providers, who are not maternal mental health specialists, can get expert guidance on how to treat their patients who may be suffering from maternal mental health conditions.
On National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health, we are rallying everyone to tell their elected officials to continue funding these important programs.

MMHLA is led by and made up of moms who have experienced maternal mental health conditions.
These personal experiences are just some of the reasons why we work so hard to ensure that the 1 in 5 women who suffer from maternal mental health conditions can get the help they need.
